I’ve always loved music, and guitar had especially captivated my interest for years, even before picking one up properly. I was always into music that was non-mainstream (through lack of a better term) at the time, so when my friends were listening to early 2000’s pop, I was hammering a Status Quo CD my dad had given me. Through the years, my music taste slowly progressed into heavier things, eventually landing on Iron Maiden, which absolutely blew my mind with what guitars could do, and that was the final cog that fit into place for me to actually pick up the guitar and learn it.
Musically, I draw a lot from thrash metal, particularly influenced by Megadeth and David Ellefson, though I’ve also been inspired by artists like Duff McKagan and Todd Kerns. Lyrically, I enjoy creating vivid imagery and choosing personal topics that allow me to express myself.
One of my most memorable moments with the band was our first gig, but writing "God Knows" stands out as well—it was the first song we created together that included my riffs and lyrics, and hearing it come to life was incredibly special.
Looking ahead, I truly value the creative freedom I have in Fateweaver. The technical challenges of our songs push me to become a better musician, and I’m driven to be the best writer and player I can be, contributing everything I have to the band.
