I've been passionate about music from a young age, always experimenting with instruments. I got a keyboard for Christmas one year and, despite never learning to play properly, I loved creating melodies and writing songs. With my dad’s guitars around the house, I taught myself to play and eventually formed my first band in secondary school, which led me to pick up the drums as well.
My music taste started with my dad’s influence—bands like Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin—but I soon craved something heavier. My brother and a friend introduced me to Slipknot, Rammstein, and Megadeth, which set me on a path toward even more aggressive and intricate music. Bands like Opeth, Gojira, and System of a Down have had a huge impact on my playing style.
Lyrically, I explore themes of self-reflection and personal experiences, though I haven’t written for Fateweaver yet. I’m excited to collaborate with Dalton and the rest of the band. Joining an established group was nerve-wracking, but playing Frostbite, God Knows, and Grace for the first time felt like a perfect fit.
My personal goal is to continue developing my musical style and blending different genres. With Fateweaver, I want to improve my drumming, contribute my guitar influences, and help shape our sound as we write new music. Ultimately, performing our songs live will be an incredible experience!
